Drawings for the general layouts

After the deliverable of the alternative terminal design report from Hamburg Port Consulting (HPC), Sellhorn Ingenieurgesellschaft had enough input to start with the drawings for the general layout of the exemplary ports of Gdańsk, Poland and Koper, Slovenia. Not only the RCMS solutions have been developed but also the two state of the art solutions with rail mounted gantry cranes (RMG) and rubber tyred gantry cranes (RTG). In this manner the three solutions are in the technical, financial and operational regard comparable.

The general layouts for Port of Gdańsk are shown below:

The general layouts for Port of Koper, which will be more than five times bigger than Port of Gdańsk, are shown below:

Furthermore it was possible together with the input of the terminals to determine the design criteria for the three solutions. These requirements shall form the basis for further development of the layout and other required civil engineering works.
The design criteria document’s contents are the individual site conditions of the ports, the design parameter for marine and civil works as well as for the infrastructure facilities. Another part is the chapter with the design parameters for the RCMS building.
